The hospital I worked for (as a recruiter) up until recently, offers 20% shift differential for night shift 11Pm-7AM, 10% for evenings- 3Pm-11PM and 15% shift differentials on weekends. If you work a weekend and and evening, you get both.

We pay 3% for swing and 5% for grave - but Las Vegas is a 24-hour town so shift differentials are a big ticket item here.

At Springfield Foodservice Corporation, a foodservice distributor, our "Graveyard" selection shift receives incentive pay vs. hourly pay. Difference? depending on effort and accuracy, can be as much as 40%.

We are a cutting tool manufacturer in Dayton Ohio area and have a 3rd and 1st shift operation. We pay everyone on 3rd a flat $2.00/hr shift premium. Everyone on that shift is inconvenienced the same, and each is as valuable to us as the other, so we treat them equally.

in healthcare, we paid .85 per hour for all employees who worked PM's (3-11 p.m.) and/or night shift (11p-7a). I don't feel the employees saw that as enough money. Some healthcare places pay up to $2.00 per hour as a shift premium. This day and age - time away from family is very valuable. If I could have, I would have adjusted our amount upward by Administration was not interested.
