We are considering the addition of a field service staff to supplement our telephone technical support for our educational technology. I'm wondering what a fair wage would be for someone to perform system implementation, configurations, and a wide variety of tech support. They would need knowledge of SQL, and several
platforms. We would require about 50% travel, which would mostly be out of town. Considering the rarity of finding someone personable to work with clients that is also OK with travel, AND has the technical skills we need, I know it won't be cheap, but yet I don't know what exactly we should offer.
