I have recently launced a job/career referral service. The name of the company is T.R.P. INC. I would like to know if you have any helpful hints as to how I can gain contractual agreements with companies seeking employees? This service is highly diversified, serving all occupations. I would like to get a listing possibly of newly formed companies seeking assistance obtaining qualified candidates.. I have an extensive candidate base, and need to place them in suitable positions. Any and all assistance you have to offer will be greatly appreciated.

Posting a not-so-subtle ad for your services on this forum isn't a good starting point. I've already got a mental note to ignore TRP, Inc.

And if you have to ask as essential and basic a question as how to get contract agreements with companies, then you're in the wrong business to begin with.

Ouch!!! But I think you are on base here. In order for someone to be in business, they need to do a little research on how to operate the business PRIOR to starting operations! TRP, you are either really sneaky or really stupid or both. FYI just in case you are on the up and up--hire a salesperson to cold call and make visits to potential clients. Spend some money advertising, most new businesses take off thru word of mouth. You said that you have employees ready to go to work, what are you telling them when you interview them. "Well I really don't have any clients yet?" Employees don't have the patience for that and will go to one of your competitors. I wish you luck.
