I am new to interviewing and was wondering what type of questions I am allowed to ask applicants who indicate that they have been convicted of a misdemeanor or felony? These questions would be for Pennsylvania applicants. If anyone can offer advice or a credible web source to look up the limitations to my question, I'd greatly appreciate any reference.

Hi:

Unlike many states that have various restrictions on pre-employment inquiries, I do not believe the state of Pennsylvania does. However, I would recommend checking the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission's website or contacting them directly.

I trust this information is helpful.
