I am a newly graduated student and looking for jobs. I have recruiters calling up at home, although i would be there sometimes but would not pick up the call. The recruiter then leaves a message, i would then take the details of the job i have applied for and check for location etc details. Only then i call back the recruiter to return his/her call. Do you think this routine of mine is going to give bad impression to recruiters that i dont pick up right away. But i always return their calls. Its just i need some time to prepare myself with details of the job. Any suggestions or ideas? Thanks

Don't worry about it. Recruiters are very used to leaving messages and really don't expect someone to pick up the phone.
What you are doing is exactly right and in fact making the job of the recruiter easier since she or he doesn't have to give you the "big picture" explanation. And the recruiter will also be thrilled to know that you researched the job and the fact that you called back indicates a high level of interest on your end.
Good luck!
