I've been trying to find out what the base salary and commission is for the current job that I have.

My role has evolved since I started in May 2005, as we have hired a VP of Sales and a Bus Development Exec. To date, I provide on-demand recruiting (contractors W2, 1099, C2C) for the entire firm. In addition to the many contractors I have placed for our firm, I've had 2 FTEs (Program Managers) for a Fortune 20 company (placed Sept05 and Mar06, respective salaries $120K & $143K). Our firm received the 20% placement fee of which I received 5% of.

Currently, I am an at-will contractor at $30/hr with no benefits, sick days, or vacation. I am paid for the hours I work and do not receive any commission. In addition to the recruiting services I provide, I also act as the CEOs Executive Assistant. In this role, my responsibilities are event planner, administrative duties such as office supply ordering, procurement, etc. I truly enjoy the job variation and have no intention to leave this company. We are growing and it is a very exciting time - I'd like to secure myself and ride this out.

With the addition of staff, my role as IT recruiter is more demanding, however, I am managing and multi-tasking nicely. Tracking my successfull placements (contract to hire, FTE, contract) have totalled to 29 .

Based on this new information, I'd like to negotiate a new base and commission for myself. What is the SFO market rate of pay & commission for this role? Much appreciated!
