We're in the process of better defining our background check process and would like to gather information on best in class policies for education and employment verifications.

Do you verify employment on your (non-DOT) applicants?

If yes, is that outsourced to your background check vendor?

If yes, do they adjudicate it - ie., have you provided them with a clear matrix so that they can report back results ike "hire" or "don't hire?"

If not, do you let the hiring managers /HR/staffing make the calls on who to hire?

Do you verify education on your applicants?

If yes, do you verify HS? College? All degrees? Last degree only?

If yes, is that outsourced to your background check vendor?

If not, how do you verify their employment?
