I’m looking for feedback on recruiting resources in the Alberta area. The wages are not in line with what we are compensating and we’re having difficulty finding candidates. We’re currently using CareerBuilder and Monster.com as our main recruitment tools. Any additional information you can share on more effective recruitment methods is greatly appreciated.

It depends if you have a large budget for advertising, if so...look at Workopolis.com, even print like the Calgary Sun, and working.com.
If you don't have a large budget look for the free websites, like craigslist, kijiji, facebook, those are great resources!!!
Hope this helps!!

We've found CalgaryJobShop.ca to be quite good for recruiting in the Calgary area. We've also resorted to hiring Foreign Workers from Mexico as we find it extremely difficult to fill warehouse positions with qualified candidates from the Calgary area. Too much competition from the trades!
