I run the professional services sourcing for a medium-size (about 300 ee's) IT department. We are moving away from using one project management methodology to a new one (agile/scrum for those who are interested).
As part of the transition, we'd like to keep our small group of core, preferred vendors up-to-date on changes to the organization and basically help them transition from providing us individual contractors to providing complete scrum development teams.
One idea that's been floated has been to bring the vendors in, say, once a quarter, for a vendor "summit" - but beyond updating them on what's going on internally, I'm not sure what would make these sessions truly valuable.
Has anyone done anything like this before, and, if so, what did your agenda(s) include?
Would love any ideas at all!!
