We have used Abra and Abra PCS since 1993. It has proven a satisfactory package;however, the report writer that came with it was poor to say the best.
Eventually we used MS Access to attached to the files and do our reports. We were extemely disappointed (and mad) when the company refused to make the position control software y2k compliant. We have been forced to design our own, and will abandon Abra in a month or two.

I'm just curious what you've thought of the Abra package so far. What it lacked and what you might change.

UPDATE! Abra now uses Crystal Reports as its report writer. The old R&R was retired several years ago and no one misses it. Also included in the standard system is an English Query tool that allows non-technical users to pull data from the system with little effort.

My company currently uses the interfaced HR and Payroll ABRA components...and it is AWFUL!

I used ABRA's HR software at a previous company and was terribly unhappy with the amount of time required to fix issues that occurred every time an update or a patch was installed. The only thing that has changed with the addition of the payroll product is that the software-based issues are more global as they directly impact payroll checks!

Be careful if you are looking to upgrade to these products!!!
