Document Management -paperless personnel files
Discuss how to choose system that will yield the best results, as well as how to maintain it, and how to calculate its return on investment.
Has anyone converted from paper files to electronic files? Please let me know what system you are using. Any benchmarking information available?

I do not think that HR can ever be 100% paperless, but we did create a lotus notes data base for employee change of status, such as new hires, salary changes, other data changes. It works well, and allows for notifications to be sent to a lot of departments advising of new hires and exits. We stil file a hard copy in the personnel file
