Does anyone have any experience with ABRA's payroll product. Good or bad?

thanks!

We have many years experience with Abra Payroll and HR. We have implemented Abra Suite in many locations.

Let me know if you have any specific questions.

What don't you like about ADP? We currently use Ceridian and are switching to either ADP or Paychex. Thanks.

Since you are already using ADP, why did you choose not to use their HR product, especially since it automatically integrates with the payroll system?

We left Paychex a couple of years ago due to very poor customer support. ADP has lived up to every expectation to date. Can't compare either to Ceridian since I've no personal experience.

We have always used ADP and recently we purchased their HRIS system, HR Perspective. It integrates with ADP and it has proven to be very effective and user friend. One big advantage is that it uses Microsoft Access to create reports and queries, NO CRYSTAL REPORTS OR REPORT WRITER! I also want to commend their customer support!

We switched from outside payroll provider to ABRA three years ago. We have had numerous problems: system randomly changes deduction amounts for people, links between HR entries and payroll deductions are not always consistent, quarterly updates for system come before bugs are worked out, difficult to write necessary reports requiring costly consultants; can't do "point in time" reporting. We're looking for something else.

I've recently gone through looking at numberous systems. I've been on an old Ceridian DOS based system for years and I looked at ADP, Paychex and numberous other systems and decided to just upgrade to the latest Ceridian software. My best advise to you is to sit down and decide what is really important to you in a HRIS and then see which meets your needs. They'll all promise outstanding customer service and speak of their awards, but I have found people who are dis-satisified with all of them. In fact, one company who speaks of their being rated #1 in service is the one I have heard the most complaints about from their current users. Take your time making a decision and avoid "buyer's remorse".

Good luck

We have been using Abra payroll module since 1997. We pay about 850 employees with it with direct deposit. We have had a few glitches in the system, (which is true with any system). You will need a smart technician in your IS department for support. If you have the support you will need you should be fine.

Do you pay employees at multiple locations with Abra? We also are complicated with multiple organizations (EINs)and much larger employee count. But the union sites love the reporting of Abra.
