ADP or new provider?
Discuss how to choose system that will yield the best results, as well as how to maintain it, and how to calculate its return on investment.
I'm currently using ADP as our payroll provider. We implemented ABRA's HRIS last year, and I'm considering buying ABRA's payroll module and not using ADP anymore. Does anyone have any experience wi

Why would you want to bring that function in-house when the trend is to outsource this type of activity.

My company is considering using Ceridian - May I ask why you are switching away from Ceridian's solution?

I know this is an old forum started october 2001. But I would suggest looking at Mangrove Software, inc (www.mangrovesoftware.com) They really do have an excellent cost efficient complete web-based HRIS system with integrated payroll, human resources, Employee Self-Service, benefits, and recruitment. They have over 400 reports, wizards for new hires, re-hires, termination, etc. A very detailed, yet user friendly system.

That is pretty much all i know about them, but worth it to take a look. I believe they even have web-demo's which are rather interesting. Just a thought if are looking for a new payroll/hr system.

ADP's HR Perspective is not "online," meaning that employees cannot directly access their information through it alone. However, ADP does offer a separate "employee self-service website" and I'm guessing that it would interface with HR Perspective.

I've been pretty pleased with how HR Perspective interfaces with ADP Payroll.

Responding to the quote below, actually ADP has an internet product called Pay eXpert (http://www.majoraccounts.adp.com/pay/payexpert.htm)

I suppose the only real problem we have with ADP is that we are not able to process our payroll online. If you have a modem, you can dial into their system but if you work on a network, you are out of luck.

Other than that, I have found ADP to be very responsive and eager to help.

Just my 2 cents.

We are currently looking at both ADP and Paychex as options.
Does anyone have current feedback about either? I know both have similiar features and are well know payroll providers, but if anyone could tell me about the service aspects and/or the ease of use I would greatly appreciate it.
