Peoplesoft workforce analytics has some basic abilities that will further your investment in Peoplesoft. If you want to access external data sources other than what is contained within Peoplesoft such as macro-economic data (unemployment rates), Census data, external survey data to integrate with other enterprise information or possibly financial information from another ERP you should look at SAS Human Capital Management. The other question you should ask yourself is: is the strategy for the future geared toward predicting, forecasting and trending? If so, that is not Peoplesoft's core competency and the money spent on the WFA's in comparison to a solution that doesn't have the hidden costs of the HR warehouse might be a better solution.
