Discuss how to choose system that will yield the best results, as well as how to maintain it, and how to calculate its return on investment.
We need to replace our HR and Payroll systems but are floundering. Too many software vendors, too many options (purchase, outsource, etc). We are looking for some consulting to get us headed in a dire

We recently went through a huge conversion to bring more than a dozen payrolls with about 80,000 active employees onto a common HRIS/Payroll system. Of the many consultants we used, CDG impressed me the most. They are independent, brutally honest, and had expertise in a host of areas, both Payroll and HR which is a difficult mix to find. www.cdg-inc.com |

First, I'm a technical consultant (www.impacservices.com) specializing in Oracle HRMS, so take what I say with a grain of salt
You might look at regional and/or mid-size consultant companies. They depend more on working well with the client than the bigger companies, and often have better talent. Look for a project manager type to give you independent outlook and possibly stay part time or full time as a project auditor through the project. Next look at consultant groups with a strong HRMS ability. Not necessarily Oracle Consulting or the big 5, but often regional groups with 50-200 consultants. Some of them specialize in just HRMS, such as www.coconutfactory.com. My experience is that these level of companies provide better quality per dollar than the IT body-shops or huge consulting firms. Finally, throughout the project don't be afraid to rate and remove consultants. You'll have to work with the project manager, but if you get a consultant that just isn't up to the job then request that they be replaced. Good luck on your project! |

Have you considered outsourcing your payroll and HR needs? GevityHR is the largest installation of Oracle HRMS. We provide clients with a web-based portal for all HR needs including payroll. Why purchase software when you can lease it and have Gevity do all the maintanence and upgrades. Give me a call at 480 967-4569 or email michael.cristante@gevityhr.com. Check out our website www.gevityhr.com. |

How large is your firm (# employees, revenues)? What are your growth projections for the next decade? Where is your HQ located? Where are your employees located? What is your SIC? With that info I may be able to point you in the appropriate direction. schnip@eesipeo.com |
