Discuss how to choose system that will yield the best results, as well as how to maintain it, and how to calculate its return on investment.
We are considering Ceridian Source Link - Source 500 Interface to work with our PS V 7.5. Anyone have any comments about the Ceridian product?

We are a company of 140 and are thinking of switching to Paychex from ADP. I am finding that I can call 3 dif. client serv. reps and ask the same quest. of each, and get 3 different answers. Reportsmith is great, but I am losing my patience and confidence with ADP's client serv. team

Anyone else with Paychex?

I would try a large regional player like PrimePay that focusses on customer service.

We selected Intuit Payroll Services as an option to ADP, Ceridian or Paychex. Their product offers a very user friendly report package and at a much more affordable rate. Intuit's customer service is excellent and they also offer complete integration with QuickBooks.

Personally, I have no experience with Ceridian either, but ADP was too complex for our tastes. The bells and whistles were great...if you took an excessive amount of time to learn the software, and it was so cumbersome to deal with.

The company that we use now, Paytime, is strictly local, but the software is not. Millennium Payroll is EXTREMELY flexible and integrates many HR functions. The link (if this is allowed) is http://www.mpay.com/products/info/ but I am, I apologize to say, not sure if this has to go through a reseller or not. Please look into it though. It beats ADP cold.

The Millenium software is only available through payroll service companies. Most will be local providors, though MyBenefitSource (MBS), an H&R Block company, can provide it on a national basis. They also have unique Benefit Administration technology as well, and provide much better service than ADP, Ceridian, or Paychex.

I like what Chip Noble said. We are a payroll service provider. We had the Paychex product and eeeek. We now use the Millennium Software for our clients. We love it, the clients love it - and we save our clients generally 25-30% IMMEDIATELY.
Our clients all had the same comments and complaints I read about - but not anymore. Really! www.pagroup.us

I've used Paychex and ADP in the past, but have used Intuit's QuickBooks payroll for several years, and plan to keep it. The price is very good, tech support is super, and I would recommend it to any small company.

A new hire I was training said "You don't have a payroll company, you have payroll software." I hadn't thought about it like that; she was accustomed to calling in totals and that's all. However, having payroll software gives me immediate access to pre-set and custom reports and a review of everything I need when I need it. The user manual is very easy to understand, and I have no accounting background.

I have used both Ceridian and ADP. Ceridian is not user friendly at all and their report writer is not either. ADP is very user friendly and well as Report Smith, its great. I would not recommend Ceridian to anyone. I used the produce and it is not worth the time or money. Go ADP!!

Way back in 1993, when I was in HR, we switched from Paychex to Ceridian because, back then, we weren't satisfied with Paychex direct deposit capabilities. Within 6 months, we switched back. Ceridian was just a mess. We should have known when Ceridian required about 5 of us to take extensive training classes. I'm not in HR these days and the company I work for now uses Paychex and there never seems to be a problem.
