Discuss how to choose system that will yield the best results, as well as how to maintain it, and how to calculate its return on investment.
We are considering Ceridian Source Link - Source 500 Interface to work with our PS V 7.5. Anyone have any comments about the Ceridian product?

I used ADP Payroll and HR programs for 9 years. We recently switched to Ceridian and I will never go back. Their product is fully integrated and their pricing makes sense - none of those add-on charges for every little option.

We used Paychex for over a year with minimal to no problems. Customer Service was always excellent. We recently switched to ADP only because of the ability to view data online and a few other things that we couldn't do with Paychex. The first 2 payrolls with ADP have been kind of rocky mostly because its so hard to get customer service to respond......but I think (hope) it will get better and I think we will like the reports and the control that we will have over our payroll.

My company has had experience with both ADP and Ceridian. ADP was not satisfactory and made a lot of errors. Ceridian has been great from a payroll perspective --- we agree that the reporting is complex. We have not used the HRIS component, but are venturing into that territory shortly.

Why isn't anyone looking into using PayMaxx for his or her payroll/HR needs??
I am only hearing questions about Ceridian/ADP and Paychex.
My advice would be to check out PayMaxx and see what they can offer you!
What have you got to lose?

Our company of 50-100 has used ADP since 1990; I have been the payroll administrator for 8 years. We have always used ADP. I have been asked to check out other companies as a cost savings, but if it isn't broken, why fix it? I can recall one glitch in all that time. I have never had a problem with customer service; I find them quite responsive to my questions. I would certainly recommend ADP, my only negative would be creating my own reports is difficult for me, but they have built-in reports that do the job.

We have used Ceridian Source 500 for 2 years. I have found that it is not very user friendly when it comes to initial set-up, reporting, and year-end processes. They offer a lot of training but to get an issue resolved through customer service is very time consuming. You are often on hold for long periods of time and questions may have to go two "second level" before resolution.

What is the lesson here? Each of us has specific expectations and unique internal processes. If the implementation does not address each of these issues (making it incumbent upon HR to have the ability to identify and communicate their needs BEFORE purchasing the product/service) then you are heading down the path to failure.

Any of these products can do the job, notice how different the opinions are on the same product. I have perspective from both the HR side and the HR technology side of the fence. Advisedo your homework and you will be less likely to hate your payroll service once the honeymoon ends. Yes there are complete fiascoes, nothing in life is certain.

I have worked with both ADP and Ceridian
and by far Ceridian has the worst customer
service I have encountered, client reps
are not helpful they bounce you from person to person. ADP client reps are very
helpful and friendly

Has anyone heard of or used eesis (now TalentTree)? We are a college currently using ADP but it does not meet some of our unique needs.
