Discuss how to choose system that will yield the best results, as well as how to maintain it, and how to calculate its return on investment.
We are considering Ceridian Source Link - Source 500 Interface to work with our PS V 7.5. Anyone have any comments about the Ceridian product?

ADP's customer service department is awful. They like to point fingers back at the customer. There staffs mistatkes and terrible customer service was always someone else's fault. No blame of their own. The worst I've ever dealt with.

We have been with Ceridian since July 2001 and are considering a switch to ADP primarily due to lack of response/customer service. Main issue with Ceridian is being billed (they automatically withdraw from our bank account) approximately 40% more than what we were quoted our costs would be. Additionally we are trying to recoup well over $10,000 that they have taken from our account in error. We have requested in writing numerous times (in between countless phone calls) for someone to address this ongoing issue. We have elevated the issue to the next level of management twice and still no response!

I work for a smaller payroll company, 20/20 Payroll Solutions, based out of Georgia and I've found that many of our clients are happier moving away from the big companies such as ADP, Ceridian, etc. if they value personalized service for a MUCH better price. Granted, it's not for everyone... for example, if your payroll system has to interface with a complex IT system, you may need a larger provider.

When choosing a payroll service, be sure to look at all the additional fees associated with a normal processing run as well such as delivery charges, direct deposit fees, and signature fees. Not all companies charge those. If anyone would like more info or have questions regarding a specific situation with your company, please feel free to email me.

I currently work for ADP. Over the course of my career in sales, I have worked for several Fortune 1000 companies, and never have I been so impressed with the responsiveness and customer focus of management as with ADP. The management in my region, from the GM down, will respond to any customer related issues I have almost immediately. While it is acknowledged that any large company is going to have its share of problems, from what I have experienced, ADP's management will go out of its way to resolve customer issues before they become true problems. My advice to anyone looking at outsourced payroll / HR systems would be to do your homework, understand your true needs and communicate those needs to your sales executive. And once you have made your decision are up and running, contact your sales executive immediately when you are having problems, they have access to the people that can get things done when customer service can not. Successful relationships are based around strong communication and solid relationships. Go ADP!

We are just implementing the Kronos workforce suit, which is HR, Payroll and Timekeeping. We have about 4000 employees. We didn't look at ADP or Ceridian because of cost, and we weren't to enthused with customer service issues. The CS issues may very well be regional so you might want to check references from other customers in your area.

Good luck

We switched from ADP to Ceridian, BIG mistake. It is not user friendly, very hard to learn, and the customer support was horrible. As a result, the majority of the HR and Payroll personnel who were there during the conversion left 6 months after. Don't use it.
