I am currently looking at Performance Management systems, but have been disappointed overall by what I've been able to find. Maybe someone who has used or seen what I am looking for? I have 3 major areas of concern (4 if you count the fact that I am looking for a web-based solution).

I'm looking for a system that has a complete Goals and Milestones feature set that would allow Employees and Managers to set goals for the employee. Not only would I want managers to assess the employee's progress, but I would also like employees to be able to asses themselves so that they can track their own progress. I would also really like the employees to be able to align their goals to their manager's, so that they can set "team goals".

The second concern is with peer or 360 degree feedback. Our workforce is incredibly team/project oriented, and I feel peer feedback is essential to keeping our people aware of their impact on the rest of the team.

The last concern, and possibly the least, since I suppose I could always find a separate package if I had to, is that I am hoping to find something that will allow web-based polling of their employees.

Thanks for any time and help!

Chris,

I invite you to look at our PerformanceTracker Product. www.performancetracker.net

I believe our system meets all of your requirements. PerformanceTracker allows you and your employees to track Goals& Assessments. We also have a 360-Degree Module that allows peer feedback. In addition to these features, PerformanceTracker has a Development Plan & Competency Review Module. Our system is web based and works with Oracle & SQL Server Databases.

You can schedule a demo of the Application from our Web-Site.

If you have any questions, please call me.

Have you looked at the Voyager application from Human Asset Technologies out of Westborough MA? Voyager appears to do everthing you are looking for and is extremely easy (and cost effective) to both implement and operate. they have an outstanding list of customers and references.

Hi Chris:

You may want to look into a software company called HR Technologies(www.hrscope.com). I recently had the opportunity to be an attendee for a webinar they hosted. I must say I was very impressed!

Hope this helps!

Chris;

I would strongly urge you to contact Integrated Performance Systems here in Illinois (by the way, I am NOT a spokesperson or salesperson for them). In my Corporate life, we used them extensively, and they have worldclass products and services. Their software is extremely flexible and very capable of handling your four requirements. I think you will find that their price is right as well. The person to contact is Mike Ward (you can use my name as an intro) at (847) 836-1800 x250, mward@ips-inc.com. Their website is http://www.ips-inc.com. Best of luck!

I forgot this post was up here until I received a message this morning.

Thanks for everyone's input, but after looking at a number of systems, we found one with everything we were looking for and a number of other features that we hadn't even considered. They were also priced very competitively for a company of our size. The company is called Effective Technology Solutions out of Connecticut, and their program is called Performance Tracker.

Thanks again,

For an impartial overview of HR systems, I would recommend the reports from HR Census (http://www.hrcensus.com/SPmain.html).

I have no interest in HRcensus, but I believe the information they provide is reliable.

I do have an interest in skills management software firm InfoBasis (www.infobasis.com), but I wish you all success with your chosen provider.
