Hello everyone,

I am a human resources assistant doing some research on the net for my organisation.
They want me to find information on what to look for when choosing a Human Resources Information System. Are there any good websites where I can find such information?
Also I am looking for information or software specifications on different software packages for a Human Resources Info. System (large organisation).

NuView Systems has a white paper on "How To Choose An HRIS Vendor" that would be helpful. See http://www.nuviewinc.com/Paper4.html

You might try going to www.workforce.com/archive

When you get there, scroll down and on the right, click on "human resources management systems." It's under "technology" and it's before "Internet."

If you have any trouble, let me know.

I am not sure if you are looking for a company that provides outsourcing or in-house HRIS but Price Waterhouse Coopers just did a great study on the "Total Cost of Ownership" related to in-house vs. outsourcing. The study was commissioned by ADP (not using any clients) and went out independently to 181 companies looking at what the total cost to run things internal were vs. outsourcing. The net was that it cost an average of $16 per employee per processing for payroll and $88 per employee per year if you add in HRIS.

If you are looking for more of a pure HR player in the outsourcing industry Ceridian provides a comprehensive suite of solutions and has a global prescence today.
