Michael,
One of the first choices that your organization must make is if you want a Best-of-Breed solution for your BackOffice (HRMS/Payroll/Time & Labor) or Single Vendor Single Application. There are Pro's & Con's for either path you choose. Many companies have gone down the road of Best-of-Breed by outsourcing payroll and purchasing an HRMS solution for HR,Time collection and Employee & Manager Self-Service. These companies are happy in my opinion and have the ability to create a single point of entry through HR which flows to Payroll. If you are thinking about a single vendor approach, then the Kronos Workforce solution may be a good alternative. They offer a complete backoffice solution from time collection to payroll journal entries. Both Kronos & Spectrum applications are built on a web-native platform (browser only) and are strategic in their approach to the way you would manage your workforce.
