HR Systems: Abra vs. Kronos

I recently joined a new organization. Before I arrived, extensive time had already been invested in examining and pricing various options. It looks like it's down to Abra and Kronos.

The Kronos Timekeeping system is a done deal and we will put that online soon. Obviously Kronos HR would have tighter integration with its own HRIS, but that's not my primary concern because Kronos seemms to have good integration with most other packages.

My primary interest is evaluating the HRIS capabilities of Abra and Kronos. Can anybody help enlighten me on the pros and cons. Thanks in advance.

The Kronos HRIS system is the Imperativ product developed by Best Software the producer of Abra Suite. Kronos purchased the code from Best several years ago. This is a different product from Abra - Kronos will intregrate with either product.

Kronos Workforce fka Abra Enterprise or Imperativ HRMS and Abra Suite are very different in their technology architecture, functionality and workflow. Depending on your requirements, budget, and internal IT resources, these two HRMS solutions are designed for different organizations. Many smaller organizations would be fine with Abra, however AbraSuite Enterprise had many bugs with it's more advanced features, which Kronos fixed in their version.
