Hi...I am involved in a vendor selection process looking to deliver a technology solution for a global company for delivery of reward decisions. We are down to the three listed above. We are a PS based HRIS Company and this is the 1st serious look at ASP solutions. Our internal capability is very PS focused and we already own PS modules.

As a Rewards person the appeal of AIM etc is the local configurability, scalability and high user friendliness..in my experience PS does not deliver this.

The argument goes that as we already have PS capability, we should stick with PS. PS will deliver some of the functionality, but approx. 60% of specififed functionality would have to be "customised", which our IT folk would do.

This worries me greatly. AIM and WS deliver approx 95% of critical functionality, "out of the box", however our ROI approach places them as being more costly than PS.

Anyone out their with experience and thoughts on:

1) developing TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) model appropriate for ASP situation;

2) expeerience with the vendors listed above for eComp and assessment of same;

3) managing PS agenda in a organisation dedicated to same from HR IT perspective, where a different approach may now be required?

Any thoughts?

Cheers
