I'm looking for an HRIS system that will integrate with our ADP Payroll & Kronos Timekeeping systems. We are a small medical clinic with 210 employees. Our procedures and benefits have become too cumbersome to continue in a perdominently "manual paper environment". We've been using a self-written Access program to capture limited employee demographic data. But our medical practice and our employees'needs have grown over the years and in order to bring our HR Department into the 21st century we need a system with the following capabilities: EMPLOYEE RECORDKEEPING; LEAVE MANAGEMENT; BENEFITS ADMINISTRATION(manage enrollment, eligibility, dependent information, and billing--Invoices (self-bills) to eliminate manual reconcilliation of benefit carrier invoices; PAYROLL INTERFACE; PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT; ORGANIZATIONAL DEFINITION--employee to manager reporting relationships; COMPENSATION ANALYSIS--establish jobs & salary structure guidelines including midrange and broad banding, and generate reports concerning salary structures and their relationship to job definitions; "HIDDEN PAYCHECKS"; CONFIRMATION STATEMENTS to improve employee communication regarding benefit elections/changes; SEARCHABLE EMPLOYER-SPECIFIC NOTES ON EMPLOYEES; and a user-friendly REPORT WRITTER. A plus, would be RECRUITMENT AND APPLICANT TRACKING. Also does can anyone offer any advice/help in how I should demonstrate to upper management the “value” of investing in a fully integrated HR system, and more importantly, how it will help justify the ROI to upper management.

I would go for the Microsoft proposition if you are working with the the Microsoft office tools and your ICT focus is on .Com. Great plains has e nice product, formerly known as PWA (this looking at your total number of employees)

Does anyone have any experiences to share about GEAC TotalHR? I'm consulting with clients on HRMS solutions, and know the vendor's been around awhile, but don't have any user experiences (good or bad) to share in my findings.

The client is considering the solution, but heard there may be upgrading issues or problems coming up at the end of the year. Thanks for any comments.

To Lisa2346 - Since you already have Kronos Timekeeper - check out their Workforce HR & Payroll apps.

The system that I use (Staff Files) seems to get everything that I need done and it is very easy to use. It integrates with Quickbooks, but I don't know about with Kronos. Check it out at: http://www.abs-usa.com/products/sf/index.epl

I would suggest you look at Abra Suite which intregrates with Microsoft Office, ADP & Kronos. Its functionality has been greatly enhanced with its new Workflow. You might want to look at:

Good luck.

You may want to consider Spectrum's HRVantage or IVantage software. We have used HRVantage since 1995 and are successfully interfacing with Ceridian and a small 'time and attendance' vendor, so I'm sure Kronos would be no problem. HRVantage is Microsoft Access based and very user friendly. This software has grown with us from a small company of 100 to just under 650. Spectrum's tech support is knowledgeable and efficient. The software is easy to learn and very powerful. Reports are very easy to create and generate quickly. No more waiting for IS to write code for a simple report
