I would appreciate if anyone could share idea, pro and con or after-sales problems of the following types of id card;
proximity card, magnet card, barcode card, as we are now on the process of choosing the most suitable type, we may connect to the automatic locking system at the entrance gate.
Approximate 100 employees.

Personally, I like the prox card for ease of use. You can walk by a prox reader, or flash your id in front and it works. There are no moving parts in a prox reader also - so less chance of mechanical failure. Mag stripe and bar code badges are fine too. These type of badges can get worn however. And the readers will require periodic cleaning. All three types are relatively the same as far as security goes. (For higher levels of security, consider biometric readers). It might just come down to cost per badge and the ease/effort to administer the badge program.
