We use ADP. We are a small company which is growing and need some standardization.

We had a collection of S/W from CCH, the Now series, but which appears now to be abandoned. Also, the current offerings appear a LOT cheaper than CCH, which does not even seem to have such a product.

So. For 20+ employees in need of employee and supervisor manuals, and little else, what has anyone had experience with?

Thanks.

Don.

the policies should be practically followable and should be friendly with all the levels of management.

there should be room for changes in future course of action.

you can list the activities done first and can proceed with the policies to guide each step.

it is better to get ideas from all in the company by conducting a meeting before drafting a policy manual and then it is advisable to show that to all the concerened before publishing it.

Go to Human Resource Management, then follow the links to your topic.

Dont feel pressurised to develop a "manual". I have worked for small companies; have discovered the best way is to start documenting what is done and change as you go along what does not make sense. In other words do not treat anything as "cast in stone"; keep it flexible but make sure that change will only happen when there is a good reason.

Can anybody suggest a vendor who can create both online and hardcopy employee handbooks? My company is particularly concerned with employment law issues and has employees in 8 different states.

Just updating your link Sue. You can check out their site http://www.ppspublishers.com. I think they also have a downloadable HR Manual/Employee Handbook for $97 (http://www.hrpolicyanswers.com)
