For those of you who currently use Oracle Advanced Benefits: are you interfacing / sending extracts to your carriers? Our HRIS department is currently using OAB and we are re-thinking the way that we feed data to our carriers and want to bounce some ideas around. In particular, our questions focus around:

/> are you feeding future-dated changes to the carriers?
/> when is the data feeding: while the life event is in 'started' status or once the life event closes?
/> what timing issues are you facing with coverage notification to the carriers?
/> how often do you feed data to the carriers?

Our employees have a 30 day window to make benefit elections, but coverage starts the 1st of the following month. So, for example, employees hired on January 31 had coverage on February 1, but their life event stays open for 30 days.

Any input / feedback will be GREATLY appreciated.
