New Ceridian software?

We have used ABRA for HR - it was a nightmare. We now have ADP HR Profile as well as Payroll but are finding it hard & time consuming to transfer the info to ADP & set up accruals, etc. We have about 170 employees - split half PT/FT.We recently received a demo from Ceridian & we very impressed with their product. I've read the old posts, and it seems that they have really addressed the issues that existed. The report writer was very friendly & the HR & payroll processing seem to have the right combination of what we need for us and our employees. I would love to hear from current users of Ceridian and if you are happy with the product or what your concerns are. All the information I seem read is from quite a few years ago. Thanks! |

I have gone back and forth between ADP and Ceridian. Both have their positive and negative aspects. When Ceridian came out and demoed their product the report writer seemed to be just what I was looking for. After attending the basic report writer class twice, I was still unable to write the reports I needed. I would always have to contact crystal support for assistance and I was even told by them that unless you are a crystal guru and use it extensively it was a difficult system to use. I'm not the most computer literate person but I'm not exactly an idiot either, I was able to use ADP's Report Smith to write any report I ever needed without assistance. I am currently using a Ceridian Web based product the was recently purchased by Mc Gladrey and is now called Clear Source. |

We are in the process of reviewing HR systems as well. We currently use ADP for payroll, Kronos for time and attendance and a host of home grown applications as well. We interface to SAP for all financial data.
We are looking at the following players: SAP Ceridian I am in IT and would prefer to go with SAP. I like the idea of one central place to manage all corporate data. The cost to implement HR in SAP is much higher and I do not think the benefit will be worth it for our organization. If I go with SAP, I still need to have another party administer payroll, which further increases the cost. The web based product from Ceridian seems to have a lot to offer, along with a lower cost. I am a little concerned, because whenever something looks to good to be true, it usually is. I would like to hear from Ceridian users to get a better understanding from real life experiences. Some areas I would like to hear about are: How successful was Ceridian staff at implementation the solution? How successful was Ceridian at managing the budget to the original proposal? How successful was Ceridian at migrating data? How successful was Ceridian at support after the sale? Thanks |
