Mentoring
A forum for exchanging ideas about skills training, leadership training, management training, compliance training, e-learning, as well as organizational development and effectiveness.
I'd like to find out about successful mentoring programs at other companies. Also any thoughts on things people have learned in implementing mentoring programs.

I haven't set up a mentoring program at my new company yet, but at past jobs I have. One of the better resources I have used is a book called "Mentoring" that can be found at www.fenman.com. It has some great tools to use as well as activities for mentors.

An important part of establishing a mentoring program is employee buy-in, and I think the best way to do this is by asking for volunteers to do a focus group, that way you can analyze the success on a kind of "trial run" basis.
