How Many Days Do Your Instructors Teach?

I'm trying to get an idea of the number of days organizations require their full-time instructors to teach each month or quarter. Any input would be appreciated.

How Many Days Do Your Instructors Teach?

I managed the operations of a small applications training company and our full-time trainers delivered trainign up to five days a week, on-site and while traveling. A more humane approach would be 14 days per month on-site (three four-day weeks and one two-day week). If they are traveling, two weeks of three to five days of training delivering on the road is plenty, with the remaining time spent with less than five-day classes on-site or the remainder developing training or consulting. |

A rule of thumb I received five years ago from ASTD was about 25% (or one full week a month) for soft skills - computer training is different. More than that and the trainer doesn't have time to update material, refresh, etc. |
