Beginning English Tutorials for Spanish Only Speaking Employees
A forum for exchanging ideas about skills training, leadership training, management training, compliance training, e-learning, as well as organizational development and effectiveness.
My company has quite a few employees who can only speak spanish. Many cannot read or write in their native language. We would like to offer a program to them where they can access a computer terminal

Hello!
I'm looking for the same thing. I would be interested to see if you have discovered anything. I have found two online vendors that seem interesting: www.englishtown.com and www.globallanguage.com. I've found one vendor that sells hard copy materials (video, CBT, etc.) called The Languge Solution (website same name). You may also want to inquire at a local college to see if they offer English as a Second Language (ESL), and would be willing to help design an on-site course for your people. I also read somewhere that this type of training sticks better when the student's family also learn English (because they might tend to use it more at home, thereby increasing retention). You might want to offer it to spouses/adult children if possible. Hope this helps! |
