Does anyone have a clue?

I like the book, "You only have 3 Seconds" by Camille Lavington. She discusses career development, social interaction, self presentation and success in business.

You can read any book you want, but remember it may not apply to your specific organization.

Setting ground rules for etiquette is simple, so are do's and dont's. What you need to make sure of is that the rules you lay out work for you.

Does your workplace have cubicles for working areas? Do your offices have doors or are the work areas open? Do you regularly receive guests or not?

You need to answer the basic questions of your operations, then you can set your guidelines. The rules that have been pre-established in these books may not work for you.

Seek feedback - create a survey for employees and managers to complete. Determine what they do and do not want. Work from there, not from a book that may have worked in one or two particular organizations.
