Do you see danger in using a 1943 article about how to hire women for the workforce? The article has deep bias toward married/single, chubby/skinny, etc. women. It seems it would be humourous and a go

Do you see danger in using a 1943 article about how to hire women for the workforce? The article has deep bias toward married/single, chubby/skinny, etc. women. It seems it would be humourous and a good "look how far we have come" highlight focus, yet some people have big concerns over using it as an icebreaker. What is your opinion?

It was used a a humorous piece to illustrate the how the workforce has changed and how views on women employees have dramatically improved.

Let me ask you this--would you use a similar article regarding how far we've come in hiring racial minorities? If your answer is "no" then don't use it for women, either.
You might want to contact the Dept of Labor, Women's Bureau for some "Facts on Women Workers" for some info about how times have changed. It would certainly be presented in a better "light."
Good luck!
