I have used the following activity with a group of volunteers. I introduce myself without a lot of detail and then state that most of them of only seen me for 1-2 minutes. And then I ask them what are some perceptions they have formed of me by asking some questions like: What kind of car do I drive?, Am I married? How many kids do I have? Pets? Activities? Then I ask them what have they based their answers on. Then I talk about how quickly we form impressions and how they affect future interactions.
