Have you asked them? And perhaps more importantly, have you asked their managers what new needs have cropped up?

Change Management seems to be the hot topic around here this year, judging from the requests I'm seeing; the advice about asking the managers about what gaps are out there is certainly sound.

I would suggest that you look at training that enhances productivity and produces a positive ROI. Find out what part of people's jobs are eating valuable time and orient some training to eliminate the problem, improve the skills at doing that part of the job or institute some process changes do a work-around.

I strongly believe every manager should have training in professional structured interviewing. This skill is often overseen.

I have trained over 500 managers within a 1 year period on the subject. By the way these are top mnc's!

I am often horrified at what I often hear in the training sessions. In fact going one step back - before I train I sit in on interviews to get a first hand experience of what is going on!?! The results at times are shocking and often or not make my hairs stand up!

So please train your managers to interview properly because nowadays depending on what country your in, saying the wrong thing could end you up on court!

I would suggest that your rephrase your question to ask what is happening at Fox Hollow Technology and the plaque excision business that might require our employees to have improve their knowledge or skills. Training should be driven from a need basis rather than a want basis. And need is driven by the strategic plan. Focus on where the company is trying to position itself and look for ways to fix existing problems or to prepare for impending change. Please let me know if I can help. David - The DJC Group
