Hi
Training may or may not be a tool within an organizational development context. The reason for changing title in an organization may be to change the emphasis within that organisation - often re-branding exercises are part of the change process. The following links will shed a little light: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Organizational_development http://dmoz.org/Business/Management/Organizational_Development/ http://www.businessballs.com/ http://www.rapidbi.com/created/organizational_development_od.html http://www.rapidbi.com/created/NGO-organizational-assessment-diagnosis.html http://www.rapidbi.com/created/organisational_assessment_tools.html http://www.rapidbi.com/created/businessdiagnosticinstrument.html The term Organizational Development has been under used and recognized in recent years and is starting to 'rear its head' again. I hope this helps your exploring of this exciting topic.
