Dear Members:

Further to my earlier post, I am in the process of setting up the trg function for my organisation- an IT company.

Would like some inputs on the current trends / tools that IT companies are employing to train the employees- both technical as well as behavioural. For ex., CBTs, Campus to corporate training.

Will be helpful, if you can please share information / giv inputs on the same.

Regards,
Deepa

Hi Deepa, One option you might want to explore is registered apprenticeship. It's a U.S. Dept of Labor program that focuses on OJT. You can find a point of contact at www.doleta.gov/oa. Even if you don't think apprenticeship would work for you having a contact at the Office of Apprenticeship could benefit you in many ways.

Also, it's a good idea to contact your local workforce center, commanly called a One-Stop. Most people know these places only as the source for unemployment insurance payments but each One-Stop has a Business Services Representative that can assist you in any of your business needs.

Hope this helps, good luck.
