I am in the early stages of researching options for management skills training - it will be our first venture into this (and our first attempt to work with an external vendor/consultant). We are a VERY unstructured organization - no defined competencies, and a real "I know it when I'll see it" way of doing things (very hard for people to define desired outcomes).
Any suggestions for vendors or consultants who might be able to work with us successfully to develop a program? Thanks! |

Before you engage a consultant. Endeavor to as much as you can define the expectations, outcomes, and objectives no matter how rough. The subsequent meetings and engagement will be light years more effective. I would also suggest you to take help from a website http://eaptools.com/worklifeExcel.html where you can get vast knowledge on management skills and training.

I was in the same position you were in when I was first hire as the T&D Manager for US Operations. We were very young and had no defined processes for T&D. I worked closely with Achieve Global. They took the time to understand our business, who our leaders were, what their thoughts were and what our expectations were. Achieve Global came back with a matrix of courses ranging from staff all the way up to the CEO. They taught us how to measure ROI, what to expect in the early stages of implementation, and end-user feedback. I would suggest you contact them, they are truly the best in my opinion. |
