I would like to train our company's employees on proper email etiquette and the legal risks, to both the organization and the employee, with improper email usage.

Does anyone have some type of powerpoint presentation, white paper, etc. that may be of help? I would hate to re-create the wheel if someone already has something like this.

Thanks!

Jeffrey Steele wrote a paper titled "Email: The Manual. Everything You Should Know About Email Etiquette, Policies and Legal Liability Before You Hit Send" We found it on execubooks.com. Hopefully you can find it, but it covers just what you are looking for.

Also suggest the employees be asked what kind of information they need. The results may save much time. Perhaps giving the employees the information using a memo format, or providing policies, procedures, etc. in a user-friendly electronic reference (that can be easily revised, when necessary) may be more cost-effective than designing, developing, delivering, and evaluating a training course. There are also online courses available on e-mail etiquette, business communication, the English language, etc.

I just wanted to say thank you for asking the question. In my opinion, the topic is not considered enough. Thank you!
