Our organization has developed a talent management program that would like to utilize job swapping (cross training) among executives throughout various departments in the county. I am looking to find information specific to this aspect of talent and succession management programs in other organizations. Specifically, I would like information on the implementation of this type of training. For example, what positions were picked to cross-train, who trained the executive once in the new position, how long the job swap lasted, who monitored the employee’s progress, if a position was left vacant as a result of reassignment, how was the work distributed or reassigned? I am also seeking information on the programs success or failure within the organizations and the cause of these outcomes.
