Assuming by ETD you mean employee training and development, ideally the two should be tightly integrated. Training issues have direct bearing on such HR considerations as talent development, recruitment and succession planning.
Of course it's a two-way street. Good HR info is essential for effective training managment and employee career development planning. Which brings us back full circle to the succession planning. --Allen |

Hi
This all depends on the organization and the structure of that organization. In many they are integrated, some they are two functions that report into the same Senior manager - in other ETD report into the operations director/ VP. It all depends on the nature of the business, what it aims to do and what type of training is offered. It is about finding the right model for the goals of the business. Mike http://www.rapidbi.com |
