Several years ago I experienced a New Hire Assimilation which used a four quadrant matrix with "what do we know", "what don't we know" ...., but I can't remember the other two quads. Does anyone know

Hello Rlee. Im not familiar with the quadrant you are referring to. However, if I were to make up a matrix, here are two suggestions for the missing quadrants:

Who do we know?/Who dont we know?, or
What can we do?/What cant we do?

Hi: We use this process very often at our organization. I am not familar with the quadrants, but here are the questions we ask:
What do we already know about _____?
2. What don't we know but would like to know?
3. What do we want most from ______?
4. What does _____ need to know about us as a group?
5. What are the major obstacles _____ and the department are facing?
6. What suggestions do we have to overcome points raised in the previous question?
