medical staffing shortages

I'm researching solutions to the current and forecasted labor shortages being faced by hospitals nation-wide. I'm writing a report specificly focusing on nuclear and ultrasound radiologic technologists. I'm having trouble getting information from HR dept's about specific problems they may be facing, or even where they stand at present. Any ideas about approach or additional resources?
