Overuse of it to the detriment of getting work done would be one. And while the possibility of this may be remote, any injury sustained would likely be covered under your WC policy.

I agree with Nork. My main concern would be people getting injured and with the Wii, I don't think the chances are that remote. There is a reason that they have little warning pictures of people getting smacked with the remotes. In fact, the first day I got the Wii I was smacked pretty hard.
I'd also be concerned about having to "police" the Wii, since inevitably there will be "Wii hogs" who don't share or people who are playing when they should be working. I know I wouldn't want to deal with that, and I'm pretty sure none of the managers I work with would want to either.

It also depends on what games you are getting. There's a big difference between Resident Evil 4 and Wii Fit.
If you are going to do it, I would check with your WC carrier and see what suggestions they may have. There's probably some correlation in risk between Wii and exercise equipment.

Yes! Gamestop has several systems set up in their breakroom for the same purpose. It's seems to be working well.

Personally, if you feel your employees need a place/resource to blow off steam I say go for it. worrying about other factors i.e. injuries from the remote etc... c`mon we're all adults and can handle not throwing things across the room. as for hogs - I would suggest getting a few systems up on a few screens with the right amount of space and if space is an issue you can consider a regular gaming console

I think it is a great idea. In fact we were considering the possiblity of having a bowling tournament using Wii. I thought it would be a good morale booster expecially being that we live up North.

Depending on your workspace/workplace you can have a lot of fun with it. I used it before at company luncheons and it was fun. As long as there is ample space- you could organize tournaments (tennis doubles/bowling etc) and turn it into team building. Instead of leaving it in there all the time you could designate certain days as Wii days. People may take it for granted or only certain people will use it. If it is not there every day, employees may surprise you by organizing some other stress busting activity on the off days.

Daily Q&A
How to Address Flagging Motivation?
How do I increase motivation levels in the department? How do I brand my business unit as an attractive place to work? I have top-notch IT professionals in my business unit who feel they are "children of a lesser God" because they are non-billable resources and do not get plum postings abroad, nor the glamour that goes with them. As a result, their motivation suffers.
