Where can I get info on the following: Summary of wage and hour cases, penalties,and fines. Also, is there some kind of free training on wage and hour. It's for a class project. Any info will help.

First place I'd go would be the California Labor Commission website. That will get you all the relevant wage and hour laws and probably some info on decisions as well.

You might also want to research some of the large corporate law offices in California - there are a number of big ones in the Bay Area, for example, with extensive websites that offer information as well. You might want to check Orrick, Herrington and Sutcliffe or Brobeck, Phleger for example.

You can also check some of the SHRM chapter websites in California as well - there might be some good contacts there.

You might find the Labor Commissioner's enforcement manual helpful.
