I would suggest doing a google search on this or looking at past threads on this message board. This topic has been heavily addressed.

How about 24-7 protection from all unsolicited sales pitches? Imagine, no more phone calls during dinner, no more spam, no more junk mail, no more pop-ups, no more "drive-by" adverts on professional bulletin boards! That would be sweet.

One company I recently worked at was looking at implementing the Dream Strategy (Matt Kelly) whereas the organization would help support financially or otherwise the dreams (Think Bucket List) of their people. They also included use of a financial resource that helps put together budgets and pay off loans.

We have CarePartners (onsite chaplains in the workplace), discounts on cellular phone plans, amusement park admission and automobiles. We have supplemental benefits, profit sharing and a generously matched 401k. We make an effort to add a new benefit each plan year.
I have a friend who offers a Healthcare and Prescription discount card/program for every employee, and it works with existing benefits or as a stand alone. It's a great moral booster because it is an additional benefit with no cost to the company or employee, and it doesn't change the way you manage benefits. It is transferable, so an employee can allow a family member, sometimes a relative they are helping, enjoy the discounts. There's no enrollment process and the card is accepted almost everywhere. What's the catch? The supplier wants to sit down with each employee for 15 minutes, explain how to use the card and show them a supplemental benefit they could add if they want. It's very low key and I think VERY much worth it. They sell this plan/card for $50 a month on television so the percieved value is fabulous. I can put you in touch with the people we talked to. My cell is 614 805 1193.

There are two low cost/no cost perks that are new to the marketplace. One is a portal to all things regarding "special needs" children. This is often a forgotten population and parents spent untold hours searching for programs, tutors, colleges, childcare, medical information on behalf of their children and young adult children living at home. The other is very new, a similar service that is all about teenagers. Their services include gap year programs, summer programs, college application process, doing good works in the community, and a myriad of other national resources. The cost for a company is minimal that allows access to these specialized resouces - and can have the company logo inserted, so that we can take credit for it.
And then there is the growing number of companies who offer in-home backup care. That is my specialty, so I'll save you the sales pitch unless you ask.... You can email me at bsiegel@parentsinapinch.com if you have any other questions.

Daily Q&A
How to Address Flagging Motivation?
How do I increase motivation levels in the department? How do I brand my business unit as an attractive place to work? I have top-notch IT professionals in my business unit who feel they are "children of a lesser God" because they are non-billable resources and do not get plum postings abroad, nor the glamour that goes with them. As a result, their motivation suffers.
