1. Do you offer a Child Care Subsidy?
2. If so, what are the income limits and how much of a subsidy is offered?
3. How many employees do you have participating in your program? (What are the demographics of participants? Location; average salary, number of dependents {if that is how your program is set up}.
4. What is your overall cost?
5. If you do not offer a subsidy, why not? And do you offer anything in its place?

I've never offered a child care subsidy for several reasons. One is that I'd rather put benefit dollars into health care and help keep out of pocket costs down for employees. Another is that I prefer programs that benefit all employees, not just one particular group (e.g., those that have children).

In addition to Nork's comments I do not like to have benefit subsidy programs that are also income based.
IMHO the company should not be in the entitlement business based on family circumstances. Children are a choice.
Perhaps we should reward the employees with no dependents (children or spouses) as they will save us a lot of $$$$ by not having additional participants in the health plans............ Just sayin'

I am on the opinion that the employer should stay out of personal employee choices as much as possible and should only provide whet can not be found in the individual market at a reasonable price.
the employer should provide a fair/good wage and the employee should make the decision on how to work threir personal budget.
A bit off topic ... It amazes me how many employees can't afford health INS premiums or childcare, but can afrord new cars and iPhones! as an employer I don't want to be in the middle of those choices!

Daily Q&A
How to Address Flagging Motivation?
How do I increase motivation levels in the department? How do I brand my business unit as an attractive place to work? I have top-notch IT professionals in my business unit who feel they are "children of a lesser God" because they are non-billable resources and do not get plum postings abroad, nor the glamour that goes with them. As a result, their motivation suffers.
