Our company is currently looking for a enior level employee that has been responsible for implementing Band in their company? This would include developing Policies and Practices as well as promoting within the band, etc. Although the position is located in Murray Hill, New Jersey, we are conducting a Nation-wide search. If I'm reading your post correctly, I gather that you are looking for a compensation manager/director to implement a pay banding program within your company.

There are a lot around - pay banding is rather common. I would recommend that you put a posting on World At Work (formerly the American Compensation Association) as well as contacting SHRM chapters within your commuting area. You might also want to put a post on the SHRM website.

Thank you! We currently have a posting on the WAW webstie and have found some good candidates through that source. What we are missing is someone who has developed the Practices and Policies and at the same time has HAY experience. Because our title is Compensation Analyst, prospective candidates may not realize that although it does not have the Title of Director or Manager, the salary and responsibilities may be at that level. Great idea; I'm not sure I have the freedom to do that but I will put it in front of my management. We have been instructed to put only the information that is in the job posting!
