I am curious what the general percentage increase in the minimums to salary ranges for 2012. We are considering a 5% increase to the minimums, with minimum to midpoint 25% and minimum to range max 50%

""We are considering a 5% increase to the minimums, with minimum to midpoint 25% and minimum to range max 50%."

5% seems generous given the current state of the economy and relatively low CPI increases UNLESS you haven't adjusted your structure for the past 2 years or more.

@howard - just the minimum is being increased 5%. from the minimum to the midpoint is 25% from the minimum to the max is 50%.
@nork4 - we haven't adjusted our structure in 2 years.

If you are just adjusting the minimum but not the midpoint or other salary range items then the only people who might get a raise are those at the minimum. Is that what you are saying?
Of course changing the minimum does mean anything with regard to the size of your merit pool that you will spend. It just mean you will have some range compression.
