you might want to post this on payrolltalk's forum.  There are a lot of payroll people out there. I do payroll along with HR, but know nothing about Fidelity's payroll services.  Personally I prefer companies that focus on what they are good at (money management and 401k services) rather than entering another field (payroll). Maybe they have been around in payroll longer than I think, but that is one question I would want to know.  Did they take over another payroll company or start from scratch?

I assume they are selling you also on the fact that they want your 401k recordkeeping too -- so that it can be seamless.  I have good things to say from a 401k recordkeeper side.

How do I increase motivation levels in the department? How do I brand my business unit as an attractive place to work? I have top-notch IT professionals in my business unit who feel they are "children of a lesser God" because they are non-billable resources and do not get plum postings abroad, nor the glamour that goes with them.
